it would be good for the economy. there's bipartisan support. >> not even a repeal of the medical device act. this would be simply a two-year delay. >> clearly a permanent repeal would give more certain ti to the business community, but that's a step in the right direction. confirming the eligibility of people with the subsidies in obama care, who can be against preventing fraud? the republicans will get both of those things. what the democrats would get, a little longer extension, more certainty for the economy, god willing through the next election so businesses can invest and hire. the democrats would get that. with regard to the sequester, it is true that the spending levels are supposed to go down in january. but they're supposed to go back up again a year later. you could move some of that spending from a year later forward. in the aggregate, the spending would be the same, but the democrats would get a little more right now. that's going to create a lot of heartburn for the republicans, particularly mitch mccon
